This video shows how to create a Channel and a Site and take the weather reading.

 

Select Channels

Create a New Channel

Set Interface on File Storage HTTP

Set Data concentrator on Open Weather map

For Service Key register on https://home.openweathermap.org

Select Sites

Create a New Site

Set name of the Site

Set protocol to REST

Link Site to a Channel

There ate two ways to get DCU Address

First way is find the city on openweathermap.org

DCU Address is in web adress

The second way is to download a file with all Cites from openweathermap.org and find ID of the City

Both ways give DCU Address of the City

Set meter Type on OpenWeatherMap Site

Check, if Connected and Active are set to true

Select the Site

Click on Read

Site now contains the weather data

Set name of the Channel

Set Interface on File Storage HTTP

Set Data concentrator on Open Weather Map

Select Sites

Create a new Site

Set name of the Site

Set protocol to REST

Link Site to a Channel

Its necessary to get DCU Address

Open Web browser

Search the desired city on openweathermap.org

DCU Adress is in web address

The second way how to get DCU address is to download a file with all the cities from openweathermap.org and find ID to desired city

Set Meter Type to OpenWeatherMap Site

Check, if Connected and Active are set to true

Select the Site

Click on Read
